25/52

If I'm being honest, I will admit that I completely forgot about this weeks picture until I went back to get ready for bed tonight. Oops! The kids are in bed. Hubby is gone. My only companions were WonderMutt and my timer...PS. I have GOT to get a remote ASAP!!

WonderMutt is my shadow. She follows me room to room and sleeps at my feet. She spent 8 weeks in prison being trained and loved on by inmates and I am not sure if I remind her of one of them or she just thinks I can protect her from Princess P putting dresses and makeup on her but she sticks very close to me at all times. She sheds, she licks and she eats Legos on a daily basis...but other than that, she is a great dog and we love her for who she is ;)

I took about 25 pictures, pushing the button and running back into the picture and got maybe 3 in focus. It didn't leave me much to choose from so here ya go. Picture 25 of 52. She loves to have her belly scratched ;)

Phew - 1 hour until next week....I made it!

Ha, looks pretty good. Nice dog!

And I know what you mean about the remote. I had one for the D40x, but not the D200, one of my most used accesories! Timer not so much fun

You worked it out! Awesome! What I do to focus for self-portraits (well, before I had my remote) is put a stuffed animal approximately where I would be and use that to focus. I keep my aperture around 4-5.6 to make sure something is in focus. Sometimes it still works better than the remote, because even with that, I don't always get my eyes in focus. You did a good job here!

Thanks guys.

Elli, I tried focusing on a Sonic cup (lol - it was handy!) but when I would reach up to push the shutter, it would refocus on me up close. I ended up shooting at f11, I think, figuring most of Oklahoma would be in focus at that range - lol!

That's a precious picture.

You are awesome for keeping up with this blog. I still don't know how you do it all. You're superwoman!
