I always take the kids with me when I vote. They have all been going since birth. I think it is important for them to see that we can make a difference.
So, today, I loaded them all up and we headed out to vote. Tricky T was disappointed that not only were we not going BOATING, but that Abraham Lincoln wasn't even on the ballot at all.

Today was a huge milestone and I am very proud of myself for not bawling at church. Today was our baby's last day in the nursery. Starting next Sunday, ALL THREE of our kids will be in the children's department (for one year, then C will start youth but I am not even going to let myself go there yet - oh my). I know I say it all the time but really, people, where has the time gone? I am surely not old enough to have kids in Kindy, 2nd, and 5th grade. I still remember being in the youth department and looking up to college kids, thinking they were SO old. Or babysitting and calling the mom Mrs. XYZ and having her asking me to call her by her first name but I could never bring myself to it because she was so much older than me and that would be rude. Now, I am that mom cringing when people call me Mrs. XYZ. I would like to publicly apologize to that mom for never using her first name!
Today, it's Kindergarten:

I was given 2 crates of bananas today from a produce company in town. It didn't look like as many as it was until we got them home and in the kitchen and started to freeze some. Let me tell you that it is a BUNCH of bananas (pun intended). So we started playing....

Summer is in full swing around here and my blog(s) are being neglected. Captain C went to church camp, we went camping again last weekend, and my sister and her family are here visiting for the week from AL. It has been a fun month...but busy! Today, we stopped by one of my dad's favorite diners to eat lunch and wished he were here to share it with us.

Oh goodness. We went to the library to pick up some new books today and C brought his pile over to me. Guess which book he started reading ON the way home? Nice!

Almost every night, without fail, Tricky T comes down about 10 minutes after he is put to bed and says:

But I now have as many posts in 2010 as I did in all of 2009 and it is only July 9th.
That's all. I just noticed that and wanted to share ;)

Princess P was watching the rain fall out the back door today and I had to take a picture or three ;)

WonderMutt likes to feel like Queen of the World by "sneaking" onto the picnic table whenever we let her our back. You can see her through the window just basking in the sun like she owns the place. I thought that was an appropriate picture for today's theme :) Captain C had just woke up and the others were still sleeping so we ran out back and took a few pictures. But I couldn't pick just one picture from our little shoot so am adding a few extras...just for fun.
