Hi, I'm Leslie...

...and I love Coke. (Hi, Leslie)

I started on a weight loss challenge with my sisters, brother-in-laws, and mother a little over 4 weeks ago. One of my biggest calorie wasters for me was pop. I crave it sometimes. Oh the sugary, sweet refreshing goodness....that is horrible for you....yum. I knew I had to either cut that out or run 2 hours a day to burn those calories and since I don't like to run unless I am being chased, I cut the Cokes out. Yesterday, I was working from 11-4 taking homeschool co-op pics and didn't really eat much before I left (dumb, I know), so was starving. They didn't have a snack machine but I heard someone mention pop. I perked up...but resisted. I am proud to say that I have now gone:

Woohoo. Baby Steps. I bought some limes to put in my water to make it more enjoyable...I would prefer to add a few more and a cup of sugar, and might as well throw in some cherries and crush the ice while I am at it, but I am sticking to good old water. yum.

Hey - it is working though so worth it. I might not have to buy bigger pants after all ;)

Good for you! I wish my Hubby would jump on that band wagon. He drinks like 6 cokes a day...at least.

I'm right there with you!! We are trying not to buy it! I love how you put this story and photo together... I want one of those cute chalk board signs!

Amanda - I love that sign. I did some commercial work for a lady and got store credit for it...and had to have this. Magnetic + chalkboard= love it :)

Sandra...I need to do that to switch it up. I keep Lemon juice handy to too squirt in it.

Thanks for the encouragement, guy. I am 1/2 way to my goal weight :o)

YAY!!! You are doing so great...love the photo, too. I caved over the weekend and had a couple cokes because water just wasn't cutting with the bug that I had. I am back on track now though. It is hard!!!

Way to go! Still working on giving up the Coke... soooooo hard! I cute out the sweet tea, and cut DOWN on Coke. Baby steps!

I too am trying to give up the pop. It's so hard because I love the carbonation burn that runs down my throat after my first drink. Just thinking about it makes me want to run out and get one. :) Anyway, my friend gave me this idea: fill at least half of a glass with club soda and then fill the other half with the juice of your choice. It is nowhere near as good as pop, but it helps lessen my carbonation addiction. :)
